Angela Sach

Art Therapist

I am passionate about assisting people with their own creative journey. I have explored my own artistic and creative process. Making art, whether it be weaving, pencil, paint, clay, crayon or sand-play, has helped me transition through difficult life events. I know how art-making can powerfully act to recharge and renew.

As an art therapist, I value being present with clients as they find meaning and make sense of their inner and outer world. Through the creative process of art making, the imaginative realms find form and shape, expressing our deepest yearning, our soulful presence.

About Me

As a clinical allied health professional for over 30 years, I have been the principal of a number of multi-disciplinarian health practices in three States, practicing as a Chiropractor and Osteopath. I bring an empathic and integrative approach to healing that encompasses creative counselling and a person-centred insight to wellness. For the past decade I have increasingly focused on creativity as adjunct to mind-body-spirit modalities.

My passion is integrative medicine, especially the utilization of the creative and imaginal realms for health and healing. Art lets us get in touch with our more spontaneous intuitive and aspirational selves, helping us make sense, give meaning, and enrich our inner and outer worlds. As witness and guide, I facilitate creative expression allowing flow through the creative moment. This can bring about healing on deep levels.

Through art making and sandplay, existential crises can be worked through in a gentle way without the verbal interrogation of traditional counselling therapies. By creating recovery in our own lives, we harness energy, so we can be more open, flexible and inspiring in our individuality, family and community fellowship. Creating recovery through creative expression allows us the opportunity to transit through renewal, and experience joy and wonder.
